Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the Humanitarian Access Working Group in Afghanistan.
  • Facilitate effective information sharing and analysis on humanitarian access challenges.
  • Develop and advocate for strategies to overcome impediments to humanitarian operations.
  • Represent the Working Group in discussions with authorities, donors, and other stakeholders.
  • Support data collection and reporting on access trends and incidents.
  • Ensure adherence to humanitarian principles and international humanitarian law.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in humanitarian access, coordination, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of the humanitarian context in Afghanistan.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and diplomatic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team in a complex environment.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages (Dari/Pashto) is a significant asset.
