Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Humanitarian Access Working Group in Afghanistan.
- Facilitate effective information sharing and analysis on humanitarian access challenges.
- Develop and advocate for strategies to overcome impediments to humanitarian operations.
- Represent the Working Group in discussions with authorities, donors, and other stakeholders.
- Support data collection and reporting on access trends and incidents.
- Ensure adherence to humanitarian principles and international humanitarian law.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in humanitarian access, coordination, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of the humanitarian context in Afghanistan.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and diplomatic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team in a complex environment.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages (Dari/Pashto) is a significant asset.
