Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control programs.
- Conduct surveillance for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and outbreaks.
- Provide education and training to staff on infection prevention best practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with national and international standards.
- Investigate potential infection risks and implement corrective actions.
- Contribute to policy development and continuous quality improvement initiatives in infection control.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Infection Preventionist or in a related clinical role.
- Strong knowledge of infection control principles, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a complex academic health system.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality healthcare delivery.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIC) are highly desirable.
