Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot various instrumentation and control systems on offshore facilities.
  • Perform routine calibration, testing, and repair of process control equipment, sensors, and monitoring devices.
  • Ensure all instrumentation activities comply with safety regulations, operational standards, and company procedures.
  • Diagnose and rectify complex technical issues related to pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic control systems.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams for system upgrades, modifications, and preventative maintenance.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately, maintaining comprehensive records of equipment performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Instrument Technician, preferably within the oil and gas or offshore industry.
  • Strong understanding of industrial instrumentation, process control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA), and field devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs, electrical schematics, and vendor manuals.
  • Commitment to adhering to strict safety protocols and working effectively in challenging offshore environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Relevant technical diploma or vocational certificate in Instrumentation, Electronics, or a related field is highly preferred.
