Dipartimento della Funzione Pubblica is the structure of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, established by law of March 29, 1983, n. 93, which is entrusted with the control of the policies of reform and modernization of public administrations. It is also the structure that ensures support to the Minister for Public Administration in carrying out the tasks delegated by the President of the Council of Ministers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fornisce il supporto all’innovazione legislativa e regolamentare e assicura il presidio della sua attuazione.
  • Promuove e accompagna i processi di trasformazione delle PA attraverso la propria capacità di indirizzo, gli interventi di rafforzamento della capacità amministrativa, l’identificazione e la disseminazione di buone pratiche in ambito nazionale ed internazionale.
  • The organizational structure was recently modified by the D.M. of July 24, 2020 as amended by the D.M. of July 15, 2022 (registered by the Court of Auditors on 11.08.2022, prot. n.2131) to ensure more effective support for the definition and implementation of reform and modernization policies of public administrations in areas such as simplification, transparency, performance evaluation, public work, the recruitment of PA personnel and administrative organization.
