Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the school library’s collection, ensuring relevance and accessibility.
- Assist students and faculty in locating resources for research, learning, and leisure reading.
- Organize and promote reading programs, literary events, and author visits.
- Ensure a welcoming, inclusive, and conducive learning environment in the library.
- Implement effective library policies and procedures in line with school standards.
- Support the curriculum by providing resources that enhance learning outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Studies, or a related educational field.
- Proven experience working as a librarian, preferably within a school or academic setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for cataloging and resource management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and parents.
- Passion for literature, reading, and fostering a love for learning in young people.
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural educational environment.
