Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the school library’s collection, ensuring relevance and accessibility.
• Assist students and faculty in locating resources for research, learning, and leisure reading.
• Organize and promote reading programs, literary events, and author visits.
• Ensure a welcoming, inclusive, and conducive learning environment in the library.
• Implement effective library policies and procedures in line with school standards.
• Support the curriculum by providing resources that enhance learning outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Studies, or a related educational field.
• Proven experience working as a librarian, preferably within a school or academic setting.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for cataloging and resource management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and parents.
• Passion for literature, reading, and fostering a love for learning in young people.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural educational environment.
