UNICEF MK is seeking a Logistics Associate (G-6) for a 6-month temporary appointment in various locations across the Democratic Republic of the Congo, including Kinshasa, Bunia, Beni, and Butembo. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate logistics operations for the timely delivery of essential supplies.
- Oversee inventory control, warehousing, and distribution activities across multiple field locations.
- Ensure strict compliance with UNICEF’s logistics policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with local partners and stakeholders to optimize supply chain efficiency and reach.
- Support emergency response efforts by rapidly deploying and managing critical resources.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on logistics performance, challenges, and recommendations.
Requirements
- Proven relevant experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably within humanitarian settings.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in challenging, remote, and multicultural environments.
- Proficiency in using logistics management software and standard office applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; knowledge of French is an asset.
