Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across the facility, including minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections of premises and equipment to identify and address potential maintenance issues proactively.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
- Ensure all equipment and facilities are in safe working order and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Assist in coordinating with external contractors for specialized repairs and larger projects.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of general maintenance, including light plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Ability to perform physical tasks and lift moderate weight.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to older people.
- Commitment to providing a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for residents.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
