Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate materials suitable for architecture, interiors, FF&E, OS&E, landscaping, and infrastructure.
- Conduct technical comparisons of materials considering performance, sustainability, code compliance, and cost.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
- Track material shipments, customs clearances, and delivery schedules.
- Recommend sustainable and environmentally responsible material alternatives.
- Prepare material schedules, budget forecasts, and cost reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in materials selection and/or procurement within architecture, interiors, or construction.
- Strong understanding of finishes, natural stones, metals, woods, composites, coatings, and innovative building materials.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Familiarity with ERP/Procurement software is an advantage.
