SteerAI is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, and improve mechanical components and systems across the full product lifecycle. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring designs are efficient, reliable, safe, and optimized for manufacturing and long-term performance, with strong exposure to automotive standards and vehicle engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX.
- Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, motion studies, and simulation (FEA/CFD) as required.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and manufacturing specifications.
- Collaborate with electrical, electronics, and software teams for integrated product development.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and implement robust engineering solutions and improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, development, and engineering operations.
- Strong proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or AutoCAD.
- In-depth understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, DFMEA, and engineering calculations.
- Experience working with automotive standards, including IATF 16949 and ISO 26262.
