Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight and constructive challenge to the Executive Board.

• Monitor performance, risk management, and the quality of patient care.
• Act as an ambassador for the Trust, representing its values and mission.

Requirements

• Significant senior leadership or board-level experience, preferably within a large, complex organization.
• Demonstrable understanding of corporate governance principles and practices.
• Ability to think strategically and provide independent judgment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to public service and the values of the NHS.
• Experience in healthcare, finance, or a related public sector field is highly desirable.
