Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for all employees accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws.
- Maintain and update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department transfers.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports for accounting and management analysis.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and attendance.
- Assist with audits by providing records and documentation as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar financial role.
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, systems, and relevant legislation.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
