Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the construction, installation, and commissioning of electrical Overhead Line (OHL) systems and associated infrastructure.
• Ensure strict adherence of all electrical works to project specifications, international safety standards, and local regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert on-site technical supervision, guidance, and immediate problem-solving support to the project team and contractors.
• Review and approve contractor’s submissions, method statements, and material proposals pertaining to OHL systems.
• Conduct regular and thorough site inspections and quality checks to guarantee superior standards of workmanship and material quality.
• Coordinate effectively with various project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal WSP teams, to facilitate seamless project progression.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Resident Engineer, with significant focus on Overhead Line (OHL) projects.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical power transmission and distribution systems, including OHL design, construction, and maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with relevant international engineering standards and local regulations applicable within the UAE.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic, site-based environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
