Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the comprehensive assessment and continuous monitoring of financial and non-financial risks for IDB Invest’s portfolio.
• Contribute to the formulation and execution of robust risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
• Provide in-depth analytical support for the identification, measurement, and reporting of various risk exposures.
• Collaborate effectively with investment teams to ensure risk considerations are integrated into all project financing decisions.
• Monitor global market trends, regulatory landscapes, and emerging risks relevant to the bank’s operations and strategies.
• Assist in the preparation of detailed risk reports and presentations for senior management and relevant committees.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management within financial institutions, multilateral development banks, or related fields.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with demonstrated proficiency in risk modeling and data analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders; fluency in English is required, with Spanish or Portuguese being a significant asset.
• Ability to thrive in a multicultural and fast-paced international environment.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a closely related quantitative field is essential.
