Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures in mining operations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards.
• Investigate all incidents, accidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs, orientations, and inductions for employees and contractors.
• Ensure full compliance with local Saudi Arabian health and safety regulations and international standards.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training, incidents, and other relevant documentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Safety Officer, with at least 5 years in the mining or heavy industrial sector.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Relevant safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) are highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of staff.
• Ability to conduct thorough investigations, analyze data, and implement effective safety solutions.
• Capable of working effectively in remote and challenging environments within Saudi Arabia.
