Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee financial transactions and reporting in compliance with UNICEF rules and regulations.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, budgets, and other reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Process payments, reconcile accounts, and ensure proper allocation of funds.
- Provide financial advice and support to program managers and staff.
- Assist in audit preparations and implement recommendations.
- Monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements
- Completion of secondary education is required; a university degree in finance, accounting, or business administration is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in financial management or accounting, preferably within an international organization.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English and French.
