Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor financial transactions, ensuring strict compliance with UNICEF policies and procedures.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee budget implementation, tracking expenditures, and providing insightful financial analysis to support program planning.
- Process vendor payments, staff entitlements, and other financial disbursements efficiently and accurately.
- Assist in financial audits, responding to inquiries and implementing recommendations for improved efficiency and control.
- Maintain proper financial records and documentation in accordance with international accounting standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or audit, preferably within an NGO or international organization.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and internal control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse multicultural team in a dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French is highly desirable, given the duty station.
