Job Overview
Folkekirken is seeking a Graver & kirketjener (Sexton & Church Officer) to join its team in the Greater Odense Area, Denmark. This role involves contributing to the daily operations, maintenance, and community life within the church environment, ensuring a well-maintained and welcoming space for all.
Company Overview
Folkekirken has been instrumental in building society for over 1000 years and continues to do so. Folkekirken is close to individuals during life’s crucial phases, fosters communities, manages cultural heritage and local cultural life, and contributes to the broader conversation about the society we desire. As Denmark’s largest membership organization, Folkekirken is structured into dioceses, deaneries, and parishes, locally governed by parish councils. There are over 2,000 churches in Denmark, and much of the church’s work is tied to a parish church. However, Folkekirken is also present in many other places: in hospitals, hospices, on the streets, at educational institutions, during accidents and crises, in the field, and in prisons. On LinkedIn, we share insights into Folkekirken as a professional organization and a significant societal actor.
