Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an exceptional wine list, reflecting the establishment’s offerings and guest preferences.
- Provide expert wine recommendations to guests, guiding them through pairings and selections.
- Manage wine inventory, including ordering, receiving, storage, and cellar organization.
- Conduct regular staff training on wine knowledge, service standards, and pairings.
- Ensure the highest standards of wine service, presentation, and temperature control.
- Stay updated on wine trends, new vintages, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of wines, including regions, varietals, vintages, and food pairings.
- Proven experience as a Sommelier in a fine dining or luxury hospitality environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage guests effectively.
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
- Sommelier certification (e.g., Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET) is highly desirable.
- Passion for wine and dedication to providing outstanding guest service.
