    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan for outstanding teaching and learning in line with the school’s Teaching and Learning Policy.
    • Create a climate conducive for outstanding practice, identifying clear teaching and learning objectives.
    • Set clear targets, building on prior attainment, and identifying SEN, EAL, and G&T students.
    • Maintain discipline and encourage good practice regarding punctuality, behavior, and standards of work.
    • Assess student progress systematically and keep records, using performance data to inform planning.
    • Prepare and present informative reports to parents and attend/support parent/student events.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an English Teacher in the English Curriculum.
    • Commitment to the school’s vision and values and a passion for education.
    • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and organizational skills.
    • Knowledge of current developments in education and child protection/safeguarding.
