Key Responsibilities
- Plan for outstanding teaching and learning in line with the school’s Teaching and Learning Policy.
- Create a climate conducive for outstanding practice, identifying clear teaching and learning objectives.
- Set clear targets, building on prior attainment, and identifying SEN, EAL, and G&T students.
- Maintain discipline and encourage good practice regarding punctuality, behavior, and standards of work.
- Assess student progress systematically and keep records, using performance data to inform planning.
- Prepare and present informative reports to parents and attend/support parent/student events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an English Teacher in the English Curriculum.
- Commitment to the school’s vision and values and a passion for education.
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of current developments in education and child protection/safeguarding.
