Key Responsibilities
- Plan for outstanding teaching and learning, in line with the school’s Teaching and Learning Policy.
- Create a climate for learning that is conducive to outstanding practice.
- Identify SEN, EAL, and G&T students and ensure their needs are met through differentiation.
- Assess how well learning objectives have been achieved and use them to improve specific aspects of teaching and learning.
- Mark students’ work regularly and set targets for progress, in accordance with the school’s Marking Policy.
- Prepare and present informative reports to parents and attend/support parent/student events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Science Teacher in the English Curriculum.
- Commitment to the school’s vision and values and a passion for education.
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of current developments in education and child protection/safeguarding.
