Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons to primary upper class students in line with the curriculum.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning for refugee children.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods as needed.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and YIDA staff to enhance educational programs.
- Participate in teacher training and professional development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic performance.
Requirements
- Passion for education and a commitment to working with refugee children and youth.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to work in a refugee settlement environment.
- Relevant experience in teaching primary school children is an advantage but not required.
