Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical advice and strategic guidance for mine action operations in Syria.
- Develop and implement robust technical methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
- Ensure strict adherence to international humanitarian mine action standards (IMAS) and best practices.
- Conduct thorough technical assessments and quality assurance checks on all field activities.
- Support the training and capacity building of local staff in advanced technical procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with country teams, partners, and external stakeholders on technical matters.
Requirements
- Demonstrated technical expertise in humanitarian mine action, explosive ordnance disposal, or a related field.
- In-depth understanding of International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) and their practical application.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team in challenging and complex environments.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and cross-cultural interpersonal skills.
