NAKILAT is seeking a highly skilled Technical Superintendent to join their team in Doha, Qatar. In this mid-senior level role, you will be responsible for managing the technical performance, maintenance, and operational integrity of assigned vessels within Nakilat’s large fleet, ensuring compliance with international standards and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the technical management, maintenance, and operational performance of assigned vessels.
• Ensure vessels comply with all relevant international maritime regulations and company standards.
• Plan and supervise drydocking projects, major repairs, and vessel modifications effectively.
• Monitor vessel budgets, control expenditure, and manage the procurement of necessary spare parts.
• Liaise with ship captains, crew, classification societies, and external vendors.
• Implement and enforce company safety, security, and environmental protection procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a closely related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a technical superintendent or vessel management role.
• Strong understanding of maritime legislation, ship operations, and technical maintenance practices.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to manage complex vessel projects.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel internationally for vessel inspections and drydock supervision.
