Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor vessel arrivals, departures, and movements within the port area.
- Communicate effectively with vessel captains, pilots, and other port authorities.
- Manage berth allocation and ensure optimal utilization of terminal resources.
- Resolve operational issues and adjust schedules as necessary to maintain efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of vessel activities and dispatch logs.
- Adhere to safety regulations and environmental guidelines for port operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a dispatch or logistics coordination role, preferably in a port or shipping environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
- Proficiency in relevant dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of maritime operations and safety procedures.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
