Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert veterinary guidance and support to relevant projects in the EMEA region.
- Assist in developing and implementing animal health programs for humanitarian and development contexts.
- Conduct assessments and offer technical advice on livestock and animal welfare initiatives.
- Collaborate with UN agencies and partners to ensure animal health components align with broader goals.
- Monitor and report on project progress related to veterinary interventions.
- Contribute to capacity building for local stakeholders in animal health management.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience as a Veterinarian, preferably in development or humanitarian settings.
- Demonstrated knowledge of animal health challenges in the EMEA region.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and remotely in a multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other UN languages is an asset.
