Key Responsibilities
- Operate the Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) system to monitor and manage vessel movements.
- Ensure the safety of navigation and efficiency of traffic flow within the port limits.
- Communicate effectively with vessels, pilots, and other port authorities.
- Respond to emergencies and incidents in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and logs of VTS activities.
- Provide guidance and information to vessels as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a VTS Operator or in a similar maritime role.
- Strong understanding of maritime regulations and navigation procedures.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to critical situations.
- Proficiency in VTS software and related maritime communication systems.
- Relevant certifications in VTS operations.
