Key Responsibilities
- Greet and escort customers to their tables.
- Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about ingredients, preparation times).
- Offer menu recommendations upon request.
- Up-sell additional products when appropriate.
- Take accurate food and drinks orders using order taking software.
- Communicate order details to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverage items to guests.
- Check in with customers during their meal to ensure satisfaction.
- Remove dirty dishes and left overs.
- Prepare bills and process customer payments.
- Stay updated with new menu items and specials.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Waiter or Waitress.
- Hands-on experience in conflict resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Attention to cleanliness and order.
- Patience and customer-oriented attitude.
- Excellent people skills, including active listening.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- High school diploma is a plus.
