Best French Language Institute or Practice Resources for TEF Canada/TCF Canada?

I am planning to apply for Canadian Express Entry and want to learn French to increase my CRS score.

I understand that IELTS is for English, while TEF Canada or TCF Canada is required to claim French-language points. I am currently a beginner and would like guidance from people who have already prepared for these tests.

Which online or physical French-language institute provides the best preparation, especially for applicants from Pakistan? I would also appreciate recommendations for YouTube channels, websites, mobile apps, mock tests, books, or private tutors.

How much time does it normally take to reach NCLC 7 in all four skills, and which test is generally easier to prepare for: TEF Canada or TCF Canada?

Please share your experience, preparation strategy, study costs, and reliable resources.

If budget is tight: use a cheap structured curriculum first (apps + textbook), then spend money on a TEF/TCF mock exam and a tutor who has produced Canada exam results. Alliance Francaise is solid where accessible; online tutors from France/Canada/North Africa who specialize in TEF Canada can be more exam-efficient than a general language school.

Track vocabulary by theme (work, housing, education) because exam speaking prompts recycle those. Retake strategy matters - book the test only after timed mocks are near your target.

TCF Canada vs TEF Canada: both work for IRCC if they are the Canada versions. Pick based on seat availability near you and which format you practice better. Some students find TCF listening slightly more predictable; others prefer TEF after a prep course. Do a diagnostic mock for each if you can.

Resources that actually move scores:

Grammar backbone (a good A1-B2 course book + tutor corrections)

Speaking with a tutor 3x/week focused on exam tasks

Past-style listening sets, not only YouTube entertainment

Avoid paying for "guaranteed CLB 7 in 30 days" marketing.

For Express Entry French points you need TEF Canada or TCF Canada specifically - not DELF/DALF alone, and not generic "French class" certificates.

From Pakistan, people often combine:

A structured TEF/TCF-focused course (Alliance Francaise where available, or a reputable online TEF coach).

Daily input: innerFrench, Francais Authentique, and slow news in French.

Exam drills for listening templates and speaking timers.

Beginner to CRS-useful French is a months-long project. Aim for a realistic CLB target (many chase CLB 7 in French for the big bonus) and reverse-engineer weekly hours.
