Can My Fiancée Go Shooting in the USA on a K-1 Visa While Waiting for Her Green Card?

My fiancée will soon be moving to the United States on a K-1 fiancé(e) visa, and I have a question about firearm laws.
I live in New Hampshire, where recreational shooting is one of my hobbies. I legally own firearms, and my fiancée has always been interested in trying shooting. Firearms are heavily restricted in her home country, so she's excited about the possibility of visiting a shooting range for the first time.
However, I want to make absolutely sure we're following the law.
From what I understand, a K-1 visa is classified as a nonimmigrant visa, even though the intention is to get married and eventually apply for a green card.
I've come across conflicting information online about whether someone on a K-1 visa can legally handle or shoot firearms before receiving permanent resident status.
I've also heard that some foreign visitors can shoot at licensed gun ranges or may qualify for certain exceptions, such as having a valid hunting license. But I'm unsure how these rules apply to K-1 visa holders.
My questions are:
- Can someone on a K-1 visa legally shoot firearms at a licensed shooting range in New Hampshire?
- Does the law distinguish between owning a firearm and temporarily handling one at a shooting range?
- Would obtaining a valid hunting license make a difference?
- Does getting married and applying for a green card change anything before permanent residency is approved?
- Has anyone been in a similar situation or received guidance from a firearms attorney or the ATF?
I'm not looking to purchase or transfer a firearm to her. I simply want to understand whether we can legally enjoy recreational target shooting together.
I'd appreciate any reliable information, official resources, or firsthand experiences.
Thanks in advance!
