Key Responsibilities
- Lead the IDB’s operations and strategy in Uruguay.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the IDB and national authorities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with government officials, private sector, and civil society.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of IDB-supported projects in the country.
- Promote the IDB’s vision and values, contributing to regional development goals.
- Manage country office staff and resources effectively.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Economics, Political Science, Public Administration, or related field.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in international development, public policy, or finance, preferably within Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Proven track record in leadership and management roles.
- Strong understanding of Uruguay’s economic and social context.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
