Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain highly reliable and scalable data platforms, with a strong focus on PostgreSQL.
  • Develop and implement automation for operational tasks, monitoring, and alerting for data infrastructure.
  • Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and complex data-related issues.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to define and implement best practices for data architecture.
  • Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance across all platform components.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to support critical data platform services.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Reliability Engineer, SRE, or similar role focusing on data platforms.
  • Deep expertise in PostgreSQL administration, tuning, and replication strategies.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform).
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, database internals, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to system health and incident prevention.
