We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Controller to manage and oversee documentation processes for architectural and design projects. The Document Controller will be responsible for ensuring that all project documents are properly organized, version-controlled, and stored in accordance with company and regulatory standards. This role plays a key part in supporting smooth communication and coordination between design teams, consultants, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain document control systems (e.g., Aconex, Procore, BIM 360, or internal systems).
  • Control the issuance, receipt, tracking, and archiving of all design and construction documentation.
  • Ensure timely distribution of latest revisions of drawings, specifications, RFIs, and other documents to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain a register of drawings, transmittals, submittals, and incoming/outgoing correspondence.
  • Review documents for accuracy and completeness before distribution.
  • Coordinate document flow between architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Document Controller, preferably in an architectural or engineering consultancy.
  • Familiarity with architectural documentation, drawing management, and naming conventions.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially Excel, Word) and document control software (e.g., Aconex, SharePoint, BIM 360).
  • Strong understanding of document version control and document lifecycle management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
