Key Responsibilities

Conduct internal audits of field operations and cash transfer processes to ensure compliance and efficiency. Manage and oversee field teams responsible for recipient identification and payment distribution. Develop and implement robust control measures to safeguard funds and maintain program integrity. Monitor program implementation, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions. Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management. Ensure adherence to GiveDirectly’s operational standards and donor requirements.

Requirements

Proven experience in internal audit, financial oversight, or field operations management, preferably within the non-profit sector. Strong understanding of financial controls, risk management, and compliance frameworks. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to work effectively in challenging field environments and diverse cultural contexts. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing abilities. Fluency in Portuguese and English.
