Antofagasta plc is seeking a HR Supervisor (Management) to join their team in Santiago, Chile. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing people services and management functions, contributing to effective human resources operations within a leading international copper producing company.

The Company has three business divisions: Mining, Transport and Water. It is actively involved in exploration, particularly in Chile, Canada, USA, Australia, Namibia, and Pakistan. The Group also operates an extensive rail network servicing the important mining region of northern Chile, centered on the port of Antofagasta, and a concession for water distribution in that region. Today its activities are mainly concentrated in Chile where it owns and operates four copper mines.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage daily operations of people services and HR management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and company policies.
• Manage employee relations, engagement, and support initiatives effectively.
• Coordinate and streamline recruitment, onboarding, and training processes.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategy and departmental goals.
• Prepare comprehensive HR reports and analyze data to support informed decision-making.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Human Resources or people services management (3+ years preferred).
• Strong understanding of Chilean labor law and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
