Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive HSE plans, policies, and procedures tailored for infrastructure and road projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to proactively identify potential hazards and ensure strict compliance with local and international HSE regulations.
- Investigate all incidents, accidents, and near misses thoroughly, preparing detailed reports and recommending effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Deliver essential HSE training and awareness programs to all project teams and onsite workers.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and clients on all HSE-related matters, ensuring all necessary permits and approvals are secured.
- Maintain meticulous records of HSE performance, inspections, audits, and training activities.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, or related) or a similar technical field is typically required for this role.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an HSE Engineer, with a specific focus on infrastructure or road construction projects.
- Strong working knowledge of local UAE and international HSE regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Demonstrated excellent communication, leadership, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in conducting thorough risk assessments, detailed incident investigations, and effective safety training sessions.
- Possession of relevant professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable.
