Key Responsibilities
- Support senior estimators in preparing accurate cost estimates for diverse projects.
- Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents for material and labor take-offs.
- Assist in gathering and evaluating bids and quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Maintain and update comprehensive databases with project costs, estimates, and vendor information.
- Contribute to the efficient preparation and submission of tender documents.
- Collaborate effectively with project teams to ensure estimates align with project requirements and timelines.
Requirements
- Relevant educational background or vocational training in engineering, quantity surveying, or a related construction field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an estimation support role, preferably within the construction or building industry.
- Proficiency in estimation software and strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in all tasks.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and project specifications effectively.
