Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal advice on public sector engagements, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
- Draft and negotiate complex agreements with government entities and international organizations globally.
- Monitor and advise on evolving AI regulations, data privacy laws, and public procurement rules relevant to the global public sector.
- Collaborate with sales, product, and engineering teams to ensure legal compliance in product development and deployment for public sector clients.
- Manage legal risks associated with AI ethics, national security, and international trade for government contracts.
- Represent Scale AI in discussions with government officials and external counsel.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in a relevant jurisdiction.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in public sector contracting, international law, or government affairs, preferably within the technology or AI industry.
- Deep understanding of government procurement processes, ethics, and compliance frameworks.
- Strong negotiation and drafting skills with complex legal documents and international agreements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to engage with diverse stakeholders and lead legal initiatives.
