Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive technical safety programs and procedures.
- Lead and conduct risk assessments, hazard identification studies, and safety audits for projects and operations.
- Ensure stringent compliance with local and international safety regulations, codes, and industry standards.
- Provide expert technical guidance and support on safety engineering aspects for new and existing facilities.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, determining root causes and recommending effective corrective actions.
- Mentor and develop junior safety engineers and operational staff on best practices in technical safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical, Process Safety) or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in technical safety engineering, preferably in manufacturing or process industries.
- In-depth knowledge and practical application of relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., OSHA, API, ISO 45001).
- Demonstrated ability to lead safety teams, manage complex safety projects, and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relevant professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, NEBOSH Diploma) are highly advantageous.
