    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in preparing the operating theatre and equipment for surgical procedures.
    • Provide skilled assistance to anaesthetists and surgical teams during operations.
    • Monitor patient’s physiological parameters and provide immediate post-operative care.
    • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and dignity throughout the perioperative journey.
    • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
    • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and professional standards of practice.

    Requirements

    • Hold a recognized qualification as an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP).
    • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or eligible for registration.
    • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
