Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic planning and implementation of the NGO platform’s response in Ukraine.
• Oversee the coordination and delivery of humanitarian programs, ensuring effectiveness and impact.
• Manage operational aspects, including resource allocation, budget oversight, and risk management.
• Represent Save the Children with key stakeholders, donors, government entities, and partner organizations.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, safeguarding standards, and donor requirements.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team dedicated to achieving child welfare outcomes.

Requirements

• Proven senior leadership experience in humanitarian or development contexts, particularly in complex emergencies.
• Strong strategic planning, program management, and operational oversight capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated commitment to Save the Children’s mission, values, and child safeguarding policies.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to dynamic and challenging environments.
