Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert strategic advice and guidance on all HSSE matters to senior management and operational teams.
  • Develop and implement robust HSSE policies, standards, and procedures in line with international best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and participate in critical incident investigations, root cause analysis, and preventative action planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in HSSE performance across all projects and assets.
  • Mentor and coach HSSE professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and responsibility.
  • Monitor and report on HSSE performance metrics, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in HSSE roles, preferably within the oil, gas, or energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of international HSSE regulations, standards, and management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing effective HSSE strategies and programs.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering, safety, or environmental discipline; professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma, CSP) are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and travel as required.
