Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement firmware for STM32 microcontrollers in marine electronic systems.
- Design and optimize software for advanced multifunction displays (MFDs).
- Ensure seamless integration of MFDs with onboard sensors, GPS, radar, AutoPilot, and sonar.
- Collaborate on creating open hardware platforms supporting specialized marine software.
- Conduct rigorous testing and debugging to ensure rugged reliability and high performance in marine environments.
- Contribute to breaking away from proprietary systems by developing open, customizable solutions.
Requirements
- Strong background in STM32 microcontroller firmware development.
- Proficiency in embedded C/C++ programming.
- Experience with communication protocols such as NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000.
- Familiarity with marine electronics systems and applications (e.g., TimeZero, Adrena).
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field from institutions like ENIT, ENSI, SUP’COM, or INSAT.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed international team.
