Sustainable Energy Services (UK) Ltd is looking for a dedicated Tenant Liaison Officer to join their team in Southern, Botswana. This role involves acting as the primary point of contact for tenants, ensuring smooth communication and addressing their needs related to energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects.

Company Overview

Sustainable Energy Services provides retrofit consultancy, housing stock analysis services, energy efficiency funding management, PAS 2035:2023 services, and support for retrofit energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects. We also manage and deliver domestic housing programmes for Local Authorities / Social Housing Providers and direct services to homeowners and private landlords via the group’s consumer-facing brand, Home Hero. This includes projects under Warm Homes: Local Grant and ECO, GBIS and BUS. Our work helps improve the living conditions, health, comfort, and well-being of households to help reduce fuel poverty and address the five biggest challenges today: the cost-of-living, energy security, climate change, housing and health crises – all supporting the UK’s progress towards meeting net zero targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for tenants regarding energy efficiency and decarbonisation projects.
  • Communicate project timelines, impacts, and benefits clearly and effectively to tenants.
  • Address tenant inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  • Coordinate access arrangements for contractors and ensure minimal disruption to residents.
  • Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions and project progress.
  • Promote positive relationships between residents, contractors, and the company.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse communities.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to tenant relations.
  • Basic understanding of housing or construction projects is a plus.
  • Proficiency in local languages relevant to Botswana is an advantage.
