Key Responsibilities

Provide expert scientific and technical leadership in infectious disease surveillance. Design and implement robust research protocols for disease control and prevention. Analyze complex epidemiological data to identify trends and inform public health interventions. Collaborate with international and local partners on project implementation and capacity building. Contribute to the development of evidence-based policies and guidelines. Mentor junior researchers and foster knowledge transfer within the program.

Requirements

Extensive experience (10+ years) in infectious disease surveillance, epidemiology, or related research. Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, PhD) in Public Health, Epidemiology, Microbiology, or a related scientific field. Demonstrated expertise in data analysis, statistical software, and scientific writing. Proven ability to lead and manage complex research projects in challenging environments. Strong communication, interpersonal, and cross-cultural collaboration skills. Fluency in English; proficiency in other regional languages is a plus.
