Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of new tooling solutions to support production and innovation.
- Improve and optimise existing tooling for greater efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Work closely with production and assembly teams to ensure tooling meets operational requirements.
- Conduct feasibility studies, calculations, and validations for tooling performance.
- Take ownership of tooling projects from concept through to testing and final approval.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders on tooling-related needs.
- Support the wider engineering team with technical expertise in tooling and mechanical systems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and new product development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng) or similar.
- Proven background in tooling design, development, or modification.
- Hands-on CAD software experience (SolidWorks highly advantageous).
- Strong understanding of machining, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Clear and confident communicator with strong collaboration skills.
