Front End Loader Operator

Job Overview

Afrimat Readymix Inland, based in Lephalale, is seeking a qualified Front End Loader Operator. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment within a mining environment, ensuring efficient handling of materials and compliance with safety standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate a front-end loader in the mining area.
• Handle, move, and load materials as required.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and ensure machine cleanliness.
• Communicate effectively with site personnel.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Report defects, malfunctions, or safety issues immediately.

Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid Front End Loader Competency Certificate.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a mining environment.
• Ability to distinguish sounds such as alarms, voices, and equipment noises.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be medically fit as per Mine Health and Safety Act standards.
