Job Overview
Foco Car Rentals, a leading Brazilian car rental company with presence across major cities, is hiring a Driver (Category D) for a temporary, on-site role in Reykjavík, Iceland. The ideal candidate will ensure safe, punctual, and customer-focused transportation services while maintaining company vehicles in top condition.
Job Responsibilities
- Transport clients between the airport and company facilities (round trips)
- Inspect vehicles and ensure preventive maintenance is scheduled
- Organize and optimize the parking lot layout for efficient use of space
- Maintain vehicles in excellent condition, ensuring cleanliness and safety
- Comply with traffic laws and company safety regulations
- Provide courteous and professional service to customers during pick-up and drop-off
Requirements
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
- Valid Category D Driver’s License (mandatory)
- Availability to work weekends and holidays (6×1 or 12×36 shift system)
- Prior experience as a Category D professional driver
- Strong knowledge of traffic regulations and road safety standards
- Punctuality and ability to meet strict schedules
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in corporate transport or logistics
- Basic knowledge of preventive vehicle maintenance
- Defensive driving or transport safety certifications
- Basic English for handling international routes or documentation
- Experience with medium or large companies handling complex or long-distance routes
