People Programs Manager

Wave Mobile Money is seeking a People Programs Manager to join their team in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. This role is crucial for redesigning, improving, and scaling their Cross-Departmental Rotation Program, Undergraduate Internship Program, and Short Term/Long Term Assignment deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the end-to-end cohort management for the Cross-Departmental Rotation Program.
• Oversee the Undergraduate Internship Program, ensuring a great and immersive intern experience.
• Manage STA & LTA Deployments, focusing on offer alignment, logistics, and employee support.
• Drive program design and improvement, identifying new opportunities and expanding existing programs.
• Partner with stakeholders to stress-test program changes and ensure guidelines are current.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in HR, Project Management or Recruiting, ideally with program exposure.
• Proven ability to independently own and improve complex programs.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to engage senior leadership and work across multiple teams.
• Clear, direct communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow through and close loops.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguous and evolving environments.
• Fluency in English and French is a strong requirement.
• Must be based in one of Wave's operating markets.
