Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor environmental and social safeguard policies and procedures. Ensure project compliance with international and national safeguard standards and donor requirements. Conduct environmental and social impact assessments for new and ongoing conservation projects. Provide technical guidance and capacity building to project teams on safeguard issues. Manage risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies related to project activities. Liaise with external stakeholders, communities, and partners on safeguard matters.

Requirements

Proven experience in environmental and social safeguards within the conservation or development sector. Strong understanding of international safeguard policies (e.g., World Bank, IFC). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
