Venture Capital Associate

Pairs is seeking a Venture Capital Associate to join their remote team. This role focuses on growing and managing relationships with investors who directly invest in private companies. You will be responsible for bringing in new investors, understanding their investment criteria, and matching them with relevant opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Grow and manage relationships with investors who invest directly in private companies.
• Bring in new investors, understand their investment criteria (stage, check size, sector), and introduce them to relevant opportunities.
• Open new investor relationships every month.
• Ensure ongoing engagement with investors between opportunities.
• Work directly with the two co-founders and our investor team.

Requirements

• Have built investor relationships personally and can explain how each one began.
• Have taken at least one investor from a first conversation to a direct investment in a private round.
• Understand what investors invest in and the reasons they decline opportunities.
• Treat discretion as second nature.
• Use AI tools daily with clear judgment.
